Ronaldinho's Return to Football

Legendary Brazilian footballer Ronaldinho has made a surprising move by signing with Ravenna, a club in Italy's Serie C, at the age of 46, over ten years after his retirement from professional play.


Expressing his enthusiasm, Ronaldinho stated, “I am eager to dance with the ball again. Football has always brought me joy, and I look forward to sharing that joy with Ravenna. Let the magic begin!”


The Ravenna club is under the ownership of Ignazio Cipriani, known for his restaurant brand.


During a presentation in Miami, Cipriani shared, “Ronaldinho was my idol when I was growing up. I hope his presence will inspire a new wave of fans to embrace Ravenna.”


Ronaldinho's last professional appearance was with Fluminense in 2015. This new chapter marks his return to Italy, where he previously played for AC Milan from 2008 to 2011. He is celebrated for winning the World Cup with Brazil in 2002 and receiving the Ballon d’Or in 2005.
