Training Camp Launch

The Rohtak Royals, representing Rohtak in the inaugural Kabaddi Champions League (KCL), have officially commenced their training camp in the city. This marks the beginning of their preparations for the upcoming season, guided by their newly appointed head coach, Surender Nada.

KCL Trophy Tour Arrives

The recently launched Kabaddi Champions League Trophy Tour is making its way across the state and is scheduled to reach Rohtak on Wednesday. For Surender Nada, this camp signifies a fresh start following a distinguished playing career that lasted over 15 years. As a gold medalist with India in various prestigious tournaments, including the 2016 Kabaddi World Cup and the 2019 South Asian Games, Nada is now focused on developing the Rohtak Royals from the coaching perspective.

Coach Surender Nada's Vision

In discussing the Rohtak Royals' journey in the KCL, Head Coach Surender Nada stated, "This is a significant moment for us, our players, and our state. Haryana boasts a large number of Kabaddi enthusiasts and players. This league will greatly benefit future generations by providing a platform for new talent to shine, ultimately benefiting Haryana as well."

Fostering Team Unity

As the Rohtak Royals assemble a diverse squad that includes seasoned professionals and promising local talent, Nada emphasized the importance of team cohesion. He remarked, "My experience as a player has laid a solid foundation for my coaching role. Leading the Rohtak Royals is both thrilling and inspiring. The team has immense potential, and our goal is to establish the right mix and effective on-field coordination."

Leveraging Experience

Nada also stressed the significance of experience within the Rohtak Royals framework, pointing out the crucial role senior players play in shaping the team's identity both on and off the mat. He noted, "In Kabaddi, as in any sport, the synergy between experienced and younger players is vital. The seniors, along with the captain, must work to maintain team unity. Achieving this balance is essential for creating a successful team dynamic."

Enhancing Kabaddi in Haryana

Looking forward to the Rohtak Royals' debut season, Nada believes that this platform will be instrumental in bolstering the sport and allowing franchises like his to develop sustainably. He stated, "Kabaddi is a traditional clay game, and we are progressing step by step. As KCL gains momentum, it will attract more support. This will strengthen sports in Haryana, uplift our youth, and ultimately benefit our country."

Preparation for Competitive Action

The ongoing training camp in Rohtak aims to assess player positions and overall team balance in preparation for competitive play. With the KCL Trophy set to arrive in Rohtak on January 21, the Rohtak Royals are poised for an exciting start to their Kabaddi Champions League adventure.
