Rohit Sharma of the Mumbai Indians expressed pride in his impactful innings against the Gujarat Titans on Friday, although he wished he had achieved more than just four half-centuries in the IPL. Scoring 81 runs off 50 deliveries, Sharma propelled his team to a formidable total of 228 for 5, securing a 20-run victory over GT. This win enabled MI to advance to Qualifier 2, where they will compete against PBKS on June 1 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

During the post-match presentation, Rohit remarked, “I’ve only managed four fifties this IPL season, and I would have preferred to achieve more. I recognize the significance of the Eliminator, and it was a total team effort.” He added, “I aimed to maximize my performance today, especially after getting some luck on my side. I’m pleased to have contributed to the team's success.”
Rohit acknowledged the challenges posed by the dew and praised his opening partner, Jonny Bairstow, for his role in establishing a strong start for MI. “Having observed Bairstow over the years, I know his capabilities at the top of the order. He capitalized on his opportunities, which was crucial for us,” he stated.
