Rohit Majgul's Remarkable Achievement in Judo

Ahmedabad (Gujarat) [India], February 23: Rising star in judo, Rohit Majgul (66kg) from Gujarat, has successfully qualified for both the Commonwealth Games 2026 and the Asian Games 2026 following an impressive display at the Judo selection Trials held in New Delhi.


During the best-of-three finals at the national judo trials on Sunday, Majgul faced off against Garvit from Haryana in a gripping contest. The final match extended into golden score, where Majgul executed a spectacular O-goshi, scoring a wazari to secure his victory, as reported.


Hailing from the small tribal village of Talala in Gir Somnath district, Gujarat, Majgul's success is not a mere coincidence; he has remained unbeaten in the last two Senior Nationals, showcasing his consistency and technical prowess.


With the support of the dedicated coaches and staff from the Vijayi Bharat Foundation (VBF), Rohit has demonstrated remarkable composure, skill, and competitive spirit, reflecting both his personal excellence and the effectiveness of the foundation's training programs.


The 23rd Commonwealth Games are set to take place in July 2026 in Glasgow, Scotland, while the Asian Games 2026 will be held in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, starting September 19.
