Riya Jadon Takes Early Lead

In an impressive display, Riya Jadon, a newcomer to professional golf this season, emerged as the top performer on the first day of the 7th Leg of the Women's Pro Golf Tour held at the Jayachamaraja Wadiyar Golf Club. The 17-year-old golfer finished the day with a remarkable score of 3-under 67, including two birdies, placing her in the lead. Training at the DLF Golf Academy in Gurugram, she outperformed seasoned player Tvesa Malik, who ended the day with a score of 68. Anvvi Dahhiya and Vidhatri Urs also performed well, both finishing under par with scores of 69 on the Par-70 course. Amandeep Drall and Karishma Govind each recorded even par scores of 70.

Riya, who clinched the IGU Pune Ladies Championship in November 2025, transitioned to professional golf earlier this season and previously secured a Tied-third position at the third leg in Oxford Golf Resort, Pune, where Tvesa Malik was the champion. Starting her round with a birdie, Riya faced a bogey on the sixth hole but quickly recovered with another birdie on the seventh, finishing the front nine at 1-under. On the back nine, she maintained her momentum, parring the first seven holes before closing with two consecutive birdies.

Tvesa also began her round with a birdie but encountered back-to-back bogeys on the fourth and fifth holes, putting her at one-over. However, she bounced back with three birdies on the back nine to finish with a score of 68.

Both Anvvi Dahhiya and Vidhatri Urs recorded three birdies and two bogeys each, resulting in scores of 69. Amandeep managed four birdies but faced a double bogey and two bogeys, including one on the final hole. Karishma had three birdies and three bogeys, tying for fifth place.

Other Notable Scores

Neha Tripathi, Ananya Garg, Durga Nittur, and amateur Ananyaa Sood all finished tied for seventh with scores of 71.

Notable players further down the leaderboard included Vani Kapoor with a score of 72, placing her in T-11, while amateurs Zara Anand and Seher Atwal both scored 73, tying for T-16. Mannat Brar finished with a score of 76, landing her in T-30.

Ridhima Dilawari, a three-time winner this season, had a challenging start with a score of 77, which included three bogeys and two double bogeys.
