Rishabh Pant's Stunning Somersault After Century Captivates Fans
Rishabh Pant's Acrobatic Celebration Goes Viral
Rishabh Pant, the dynamic Indian cricketer, has mesmerized fans with his impressive somersault following a remarkable century in the first Test against England. This acrobatic display has quickly gained popularity online, with former players praising his distinctive style.
During the match, Pant scored an entertaining 134 runs off 178 balls, marking his seventh Test century as India posted a total of 471 runs under the leadership of new captain Shubman Gill on Day 2.
Ravi Shastri, the former head coach of India, remarked that Pant likely has a background in gymnastics. He stated, "There's nothing wrong with that. That's just who he is. He’s unique and has been doing gymnastics since he was young." Shastri humorously added that he might have attempted a somersault, but only to dive into a pool.
Pant's journey back to cricket is particularly inspiring, especially after he survived a serious car accident in 2022 that left him with significant injuries. His ability to perform such a feat after multiple surgeries is truly remarkable.
Cheteshwar Pujara, another Indian batter, commented on Pant's uniqueness, saying, "He does things differently and exceptionally well. I was surprised by his somersault; it’s not something you can just do without practice."
Dinesh Karthik, a former cricketer, expressed his admiration for Pant, noting that he excels in both batting and wicketkeeping. Karthik shared his own failed attempts at gymnastics as a child, acknowledging Pant's superior skills in celebration.
An English fan also expressed amazement, stating, "I've never seen anything like that in my life, especially with pads on. It’s incredible!"
