Rishabh Pant's Ongoing Challenges in the Season

The season has taken a turn for the worse for LSG captain Rishabh Pant, who was acquired for an astonishing INR 27 Crores, making him the most expensive player in the league's history. Following a week-long suspension of the tournament due to tensions between India and Pakistan, Pant's performance has not improved, as he continues to struggle with low scores.

In the 61st match between LSG and SRH at Ekana Stadium in Lucknow on May 19, Pant batted at number three, ahead of the team's top performer this season, Nicholas Pooran. Unfortunately, this decision did not pay off, as Pant managed only 7 runs off 6 balls, including a single boundary, bringing his total to just 135 runs over 11 innings.

LSG owner Sanjiv Goenka has been a familiar presence at every match, and his disappointment was evident when Pant failed to deliver once again. He was seen leaving the venue visibly upset.
