Rinku Singh's Sudden Departure

Chennai: Rinku Singh, the middle-order batsman, has returned home due to a family emergency, as confirmed by sources from the BCCI.

He was absent from India's training session at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, where his teammates were present for practice.

According to insiders, Rinku had to leave Chennai because his father, Khanchand Singh, is reportedly in serious condition and hospitalized in Greater Noida.

This unexpected exit raises concerns about Rinku's participation in India's crucial Super Eights match against Zimbabwe scheduled for Thursday.

Rinku's recent performance has been disappointing; he scored a duck in India's 76-run loss to South Africa in Ahmedabad and only managed six runs against the Netherlands in New Delhi.

Prior to these matches, he had scores of 11 against Pakistan, 1 against Namibia, and six against the USA.
