Remembering Dilip Doshi: A Tribute from India and England Players

A Moment of Remembrance

Leeds: On the fifth day of the first Test match, players from both India and England donned black armbands and held a minute of silence to honor the late Dilip Doshi, a former spinner.

Dilip Doshi, who took 113 wickets across 33 Test matches, passed away from a cardiac arrest in London on Monday at the age of 77.

A post from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) stated, "Both teams are wearing black armbands today in memory of former Indian cricketer Dilip Doshi, who passed away Monday. The teams also observed a minute's silence before the start of Day 5."

Despite often being overshadowed by Bishan Singh Bedi during his international career, Doshi made a significant impact in cricket.

He was also a prominent figure in the English county circuit, playing for Nottinghamshire and Warwickshire for over a decade.
