RCB's Romario Shepherd Brings Laughter with Meme Recreation at Pickleball Tournament
RCB's Fun-Filled Pickleball Tournament
During a light-hearted pickleball tournament organized by the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), all-rounder Romario Shepherd entertained everyone by mimicking a well-known meme. The team had to shift their practice indoors due to rain, leading to this amusing event for players and support staff.
The meme originated from the 2023 Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), where a journalist posed a question to Moeen Ali, Sunil Narine, and Andre Russell after their final victory. The players appeared confused by the question, which quickly became a viral sensation online.

In the indoor final of the pickleball tournament, coach Andy Flower and Dipika Pallikal, who is married to Dinesh Karthik, claimed victory. After the match, Shepherd approached Flower and humorously repeated the viral question from the meme, causing the audience to burst into laughter.
The Meme's Journey
This meme first gained traction during the 2023 BPL when a journalist asked Moeen Ali, Sunil Narine, and Andre Russell about their feelings after winning. Their puzzled reactions turned into a widely shared meme. Last year, the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) also referenced this meme after winning IPL 2024, with Russell and Narine, who play for both KKR and Comilla Victorians, finding it hilarious.
RCB's Aspirations in IPL 2025
Looking ahead, RCB's next match in IPL 2025 will take place away from home. Their recent home game against KKR on May 17 was called off due to heavy rain. To avoid a similar situation, their upcoming match on May 23 against Sunrisers Hyderabad has been relocated to Ekana Stadium in Lucknow.
Currently, RCB has secured a spot in the playoffs with 17 points from 12 matches, placing them second in the points table. With two matches remaining, they are determined to finish in the top two, which would grant them two chances to reach the finals by participating in Qualifier 1.
