Rajat Patidar, the captain of Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), has expressed his admiration for Virat Kohli, referring to him as the team's premier 'chasemaster'. Patidar noted that he has always respected Kohli's batting prowess and enjoys observing his performance from the dugout. He emphasized Kohli's exceptional shot selection and his ability to gauge match situations effectively. In the IPL 2026 opener against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), Kohli delivered a remarkable unbeaten innings of 69 runs off just 38 balls, which included five fours and six sixes. This stellar performance was instrumental in helping RCB chase down a record 200-plus runs in the shortest time in IPL history, achieving the 202-run target in only 15.4 overs.
