RCB Stars Shine Bright as They Secure IPL 2025 Final Spot
RCB's Dominant Victory Over Punjab Kings
The Royal Challengers Bengaluru celebrated a significant achievement as they advanced to the IPL 2025 final, defeating Punjab Kings by a commanding 8 wickets in Mullanpur. Phil Salt's explosive innings of 56 not out off just 27 deliveries played a crucial role in the successful chase, while Suyash Sharma's impressive bowling figures of 3 wickets for 17 runs were instrumental in turning the match in RCB's favor.
Suyash Sharma's Bowling Strategy
Suyash, who has consistently performed well throughout the season, shared insights into his effective bowling strategy. His mastery of the googly and precision in hitting the stumps have made him a vital player for RCB, especially on slower pitches.
Suyash's Reflections on Performance
“I have performed, that is why people must be happy! My role is to hit the stumps – be it with the googly or legspin or flipper. Googly is my stock ball, there was a little help from the surface as well. We will celebrate on the 3rd [June],” the young spinner expressed with enthusiasm.
Phil Salt's Stellar Performance
Phil Salt, who has been in exceptional form this season, provided RCB with a strong start and maintained momentum throughout the match. He acknowledged the favorable conditions and discussed his mental approach to the chase after a short break between games.
Salt's Insights on the Match
“Great feeling. We had a second bite at the cherry tonight. It did move a bit. Don't know how much that was because of the wicket. Not the worst wicket we have played on, put it that way. What came in my head was don't get out to Arshdeep! Just react to the ball,” Salt remarked post-match.
Momentum Ahead of the Final
Salt elaborated on how the busy schedule has benefited RCB, creating a rhythm that is hard to break. He emphasized the significance of timing their peak performance correctly.
Salt's Perspective on the Packed Schedule
“I said before the game to Andy that it was a blessing in disguise. Sometimes you can think too much and overplay it. So play-travel-play was a blessing in disguise. Just gives us momentum. Cliche but true. Back end of the tournament you want to hit your straps. You can play a part with the bat or ball or strike rates through the middle,” he explained.
Looking Forward to the Final
With both confidence and form on their side, RCB is now preparing for the final, with June 3 marked as a potential date for celebration.
