RCB Triumphs Over Punjab Kings in Crucial Match
In a thrilling encounter held at the Maharaja Yadavendra Singh Stadium in Mullanpur, Chandigarh, the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) defeated the Punjab Kings by 8 wickets. This victory marks RCB's return to the finals after a nine-year hiatus. Batting first, Punjab Kings struggled, losing all their wickets for just 101 runs in 14.1 overs. In response, RCB chased down the target, scoring 106 runs for the loss of 2 wickets in just 10 overs.
Despite this defeat, Punjab Kings still have a chance to reach the finals. They will compete in the second qualifier against either the Mumbai Indians or the Gujarat Titans. The eliminator match between Gujarat and Mumbai is scheduled for May 30.
While chasing a target of 102 runs, RCB faced an early setback in the fourth over when Virat Kohli was dismissed for 12 runs off 12 balls.
