RCB Faces SRH in IPL 2025: Jitesh Sharma Takes Charge as Captain

RCB's First Match Post-IPL Resumption

Following a brief hiatus, the IPL 2025 has resumed, marking Royal Challengers Bengaluru's first game today. Their earlier match against Kolkata Knight Riders was unfortunately canceled due to rain. In this match, RCB will be up against Sunrisers Hyderabad, who have already been eliminated from playoff contention, while RCB aims to secure a top-two finish.

In an interesting turn of events, Jitesh Sharma is stepping in as the captain for RCB after Rajat Patidar sustained an injury. RCB won the toss and opted to bowl first. Jitesh reflected on the irony of captaining against SRH again, having previously led Punjab Kings against them. This match marks his second time as captain, and his first with RCB. He also mentioned that Rajat will participate as an impact player, while Mayank Agarwal will take the place of the injured Devdutt Paddikal.
