Vaibhav Sooryavanshi's Record-Breaking Performance

The young batter from Bihar, Sooryavanshi, had an outstanding tournament with the Rajasthan Royals, amassing a total of 776 runs at an impressive strike rate of 237.30. At just 15 years and 65 days, he became the youngest player to win the Orange Cap, surpassing the previous record held by Sudharsan of Gujarat Titans, who won it at 23 years and 231 days in 2025.

In the IPL 2026 final, RCB opted to field first, restricting GT to a score of 155/8 in their 20 overs. Washington Sundar was the standout performer with the bat, scoring 50 runs off 37 balls, while Nishant Sindhu contributed 20 runs. RCB's bowlers, including Rasikh Dar Salam (3/27), Bhuvneshwar Kumar (2/29), and Josh Hazlewood (2/37), consistently took wickets.


RCB began their chase strongly with a 62-run partnership between Venkatesh Iyer (32 runs off 16 balls) and Virat Kohli.
