RCB's Thrilling Victory Against CSK

In a closely contested match, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) secured a narrow 2-run victory against Chennai Super Kings (CSK). RCB's captain, Rajat Patidar, expressed his admiration for the team's batting performance during the post-match presentation.

This win propelled RCB to the top of the IPL 2025 standings, marking their eighth victory in 11 matches of this lucrative tournament. Conversely, CSK found themselves at the bottom of the table after suffering their ninth defeat.

Patidar remarked, "It was a tight game, but the batsmen deserve credit for their performance. The bowlers displayed remarkable courage throughout the match."

He specifically praised fast bowler Yash Dayal for his outstanding performance in the final over, where he successfully defended 15 runs against seasoned players like Ravindra Jadeja and MS Dhoni.

"Yash is our key bowler and excels in death overs. It was a deliberate choice to entrust him with the last over. He performed well last year too, and I’m pleased with his progress. I also had faith in Suyash, who has been delivering solid overs for RCB. That decision was a tough call, but I backed my bowler, and he delivered," the 31-year-old added.

Patidar also highlighted the contributions of Romario Shepherd, who scored an impressive 53 runs off just 14 balls, and Lungi Ngidi, who took 3 wickets for 30 runs in 4 overs, as key players in RCB's success during this match.

"Hitting those big sixes right away is no easy feat; he possesses both power and skill. I’m enjoying his long sixes. Regarding Lungi Ngidi, he is an experienced bowler with extensive white-ball cricket experience, and I trust him completely. Being at the top is a positive sign. Our focus is not just on qualification; the next three matches are crucial, and we will give our best in each. We might celebrate a bit, but we’ll keep our eyes on the prize," Patidar concluded.
