RCB Clinches IPL 2026 Title: Andy Flower Lauds Virat Kohli's Leadership
RCB Triumphs in IPL 2026 Final
The Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) celebrated their second consecutive Indian Premier League (IPL) title after a victory against the Gujarat Titans (GT) in the final held at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Gujarat. Head coach Andy Flower praised Virat Kohli, calling him the 'heartbeat' of the team's dressing room and a remarkable role model.
Kohli: The Heartbeat of RCB
In a video shared on X by RCB's official account, Andy Flower expressed his admiration for Virat Kohli, emphasizing his vital role within the team. Flower highlighted Kohli's unwavering courage and commitment, stating that his ability to face top-tier opponents serves as an exemplary model for the entire squad.
"Virat, you receive a lot of attention, and rightly so. However, I want to emphasize that you are the heartbeat of this dressing room. Your continuous bravery in facing high-quality opposition is a tremendous example for all of us," Flower remarked in the video.
Courage and Character: Key to Success
Flower also commended the team's resilience and character throughout the IPL 2026 season, particularly during the playoffs. He noted that while skill and cricketing intelligence are essential at the highest level, it is heart and bravery that truly make a difference. RCB consistently showcased these qualities during their title defense.
"Reflecting on our season, especially the playoffs, what stands out is the bravery displayed by the players. At the top level, whether in Test cricket, World Cups, or IPL, skill and cricket intelligence are crucial, but heart is equally important. This year, we have seen that in abundance," Flower stated.
