RCB Celebrates Historic IPL Victory with Krunal Pandya's Dance Moves
Royal Challengers Bengaluru Claims First IPL Title
The Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) all-rounder, Krunal Pandya, showcased his dance skills during the team's first-ever Indian Premier League (IPL) championship celebration.
On June 3, RCB ended an 18-year wait for a title by defeating the Punjab Kings in a nail-biting final held at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The team secured a narrow 6-run victory, finally lifting the IPL trophy that had eluded them for nearly two decades.
Previously, RCB had reached the finals in 2009, 2011, and 2016 but fell short each time. However, in their fourth final appearance, they overcame past disappointments to achieve their long-awaited triumph.
Krunal Pandya Steals the Show on the Dance Floor
Following the victory celebration at the stadium, the festivities continued at the team's hotel in Ahmedabad, where players, families, support staff, and management joined in the joy.
Krunal Pandya was seen dancing exuberantly during the celebrations. A video shared by RCB on their social media platform captured the 34-year-old all-rounder dancing to the popular song 'Zingaat' from the Marathi film 'Sairat'. Alongside his wife Pankhuri and the franchise's management, he brought infectious energy to the dance floor, creating a memorable moment as RCB celebrated their historic win.
Krunal Pandya's Stellar Performance and Family Legacy
In the final match against Punjab Kings, Krunal Pandya was a standout performer, leading RCB's bowling attack with impressive figures of 2/17 at an economy rate of 4.25 over four overs. His exceptional bowling was crucial in restricting PBKS to 184/7, ultimately securing a six-run victory. For his outstanding performance, he was named Player of the Final.
Krunal's victory marked his ninth IPL title, adding to the family's legacy in the tournament, following his brother Hardik Pandya's previous successes with the Mumbai Indians and Gujarat Titans. Krunal had previously won three IPL titles with the Mumbai Indians before achieving his fourth with RCB, while Hardik has four titles with MI and one as captain of the Gujarat Titans.
During the post-final presentation, Krunal shared a conversation with Hardik, reminding him that their household now boasts nine IPL titles. 'When I joined RCB, I expressed my desire to win trophies. After three and a half months, I am thrilled to have fulfilled that promise. In 11 years, there will be nine IPL trophies in the Pandya household,' Krunal stated.
In IPL 2025, Krunal Pandya took 17 wickets, including a four-wicket haul, with an average of 22.29 and an economy rate of 8.23 across 15 matches.
