RCB Celebrates Historic IPL Victory with Grand Parade in Bengaluru
RCB's Historic Triumph and Upcoming Parade
The Royal Challengers Bengaluru finally achieved their long-awaited dream on Tuesday night by clinching their first IPL title, defeating Punjab Kings in a nail-biting final held in Ahmedabad. The excitement continues as the franchise has announced a spectacular victory parade in Bengaluru to honor the team and its dedicated fanbase.
Scheduled for Wednesday, the parade will commence at 3:30 PM IST from the iconic Vidhana Soudha and will conclude at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, the venue that has witnessed the team's journey over the past 17 seasons.
In a heartfelt message shared on social media, RCB dedicated this celebration to their loyal supporters, affectionately known as the 12th Man Army.
A Message to the Fans
โThis oneโs for you, 12th Man Army. For every cheer, every tear, every year.
This championship victory is a fairy tale for RCB, who had previously reached the finals in 2009, 2011, and 2016 but fell short each time. This year, it was Rajat Patidar who played a pivotal role in leading the team to success.
Kohli's Invitation to Celebrate
Virat Kohli, a cornerstone of RCB since 2008, expressed immense joy and pride after finally achieving IPL success. He eagerly anticipates celebrating with the fans who have supported the team through thick and thin.
โItโs going to be something special.โ
Kohli also extended invitations to RCB legends Chris Gayle and AB de Villiers to join in the festivities. For him, the emotions of the fans are just as significant as the title itself.
โThe city is waiting. My god. Iโm thinking about them. Imagine what the fans must be feeling now, poor ones. Someone sent me a video โ the entire city is filled with fireworks. The whole city. Itโs very special. I canโt express my feelings. I have to experience it.โ
He emphasized that the unwavering support from fans has been a driving force for him to remain with RCB despite past disappointments.
โI said it straight away โ this is as much for the fans as it is for us. These guys have stuck with RCB through horrible seasons and great ones. Theyโve turned up every single time at the Chinnaswamy. Iโve never seen loyalty like that. Thatโs what made me never waver from RCB. Thatโs why this is so special.โ
As Bengaluru prepares to welcome its champions, the parade is set to be a celebration of more than just a trophy.
