RCB Celebrates Historic IPL Victory with Fans and a Grand Parade
RCB's Triumph in the IPL
Andy Flower, the head coach of Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), expressed the significance of the moment for both the team and its supporters, underlining the immense effort and commitment needed to secure the Indian Premier League (IPL) title amid fierce competition.
The Punjab Kings (PBKS) are still in pursuit of their first title in over a decade, having reached the finals for the first time in 11 years, guided by captain Shreyas Iyer and coach Ricky Ponting.
After 18 long years, RCB's captain Rajat Patidar has finally claimed the title, marking a milestone for superstar batter Virat Kohli, who has secured his inaugural IPL trophy with the team.
Flower Reflects on Kohli's Milestone
In a post-match press conference, Andy Flower shared his thoughts on the emotional significance of the victory for Virat Kohli, who achieved this milestone in his 18th year of IPL participation.
He stated, "It's a particularly special feeling for Virat, and I believe that adds to the joy for everyone involved. I'm genuinely happy for him and proud of how he has led the team forward. These are truly special moments."
Flower also praised Rajat Patidar's leadership, noting, "One of the most remarkable aspects of Rajat's performance this year is how he has remained unaffected by his inexperience as a captain. It hasn't hindered his batting, and he continues to be the kind, gentle Rajat Patidar we admired last year."
Celebration Parade for RCB
Following their historic IPL victory, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) is set to hold a victory parade from Vidhana Soudha to Chinnaswamy Stadium.
Preparations are underway in Bengaluru for this celebratory event after RCB triumphed over Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the IPL 2025 final, securing their first title in 18 years on Tuesday.
The parade will take place along the route in front of Vidhana Soudha, a central landmark in Bengaluru, and near the Chinnaswamy Cricket Stadium.
