In a thrilling warm-up match, wicketkeeper-batter Jitesh Sharma dazzled with a remarkable 81 runs off just 37 balls, while captain Rajat Patidar contributed a rapid 74 runs from 25 balls. Superstar Virat Kohli also made his mark with a quick-fire 29 runs off 12 balls as the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) prepared for their title defense, set to commence on March 28 against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH).
Prior to their IPL title defense against the Men in Orange at their home ground in Bengaluru, RCB's batting lineup showcased impressive form, with several players making significant contributions. Jitesh, Rajat, Devdutt Paddikal, and Krunal Pandya all scored fifties. Batting first, the team, led by Venkatesh Iyer, amassed a total of 234 runs for 7 wickets, with Jitesh (81), Tim David (36), Iyer (30), and Virat (29) leading the charge. In response, the opposing team, captained by Krunal, scored 247 runs, highlighted by Rajat's 74, Padikkal's 63, and Krunal's 58 runs.
