Jadeja's Record-Breaking 473 Minutes
In the first innings of the Lord's Test, Jadeja batted for 207 minutes, scoring 82 runs. When it came time to chase a target of 193 runs in the second innings, he extended his effort even further, remaining at the crease for 266 minutes and finishing with an unbeaten 61 runs. In total, he batted for 473 minutes, which is equivalent to 7 hours and 53 minutes, amassing 133 runs.
First Indian in 72 Years to Achieve This
Ravindra Jadeja is the first Indian in the last 72 years to score over fifty in both innings of a Test match at Lord's, making him the second overall after Vinoo Mankad. Mankad had scored 72 runs in the first innings and followed it up with a remarkable 183 runs in the second innings during the India-England Test in 1952.
Fourth Player in International Cricket History
During the Lord's Test, Jadeja also crossed the milestone of 7000 runs in international cricket. He became the fourth player globally to achieve over 7000 runs and 600 wickets in international cricket, joining the ranks of Kapil Dev, Shaun Pollock, and Shakib Al Hasan.
