"The outlook is very bright, and I genuinely believe that we will bring home at least 5-6 medals in wrestling at the 2028 Olympics. The way our young athletes are performing is remarkable. The girls excelled at the U-23 Asian Championships, winning medals, and the boys also contributed to our success. Our future looks very promising," he added.
Success at U23 Asian Championships
Indian freestyle wrestlers continued their strong performance at the U23 Asian Championships held in Da Nang, Vietnam, securing four additional medals on the fourth day of competition. Kumar Mohit and Chandermohan each won gold medals in their respective weight categories, while Deepak earned a silver in the 61kg division, and another wrestler named Deepak claimed bronze in the 74kg category.
