Rajnigandha Achievers Triumph in Polo Championship

New Delhi, March 17: The Rajnigandha Achievers Polo Team has successfully defended their title by winning the esteemed Aditya Birla Memorial Polo Cup, showcasing an impressive performance against the Thunderbolts (Army Red) in the finals. This victory marks their second consecutive championship win, as reported in an official announcement.

The tournament, which took place from March 11 to March 15, featured four skilled teams competing for the coveted title, resulting in an exhilarating week filled with high-energy polo matches. The final showdown was a thrilling encounter, with Rajnigandha Achievers defeating Thunderbolts (Army Red) decisively with a score of 9-5 at the Jaipur Polo Grounds.

Throughout the match, Rajnigandha Achievers displayed consistent superiority over the four chukkers. They started strong, securing a narrow 2-1 lead in the first chukker. By the second chukker, they had extended their advantage to 5-1, scoring three additional goals. The third chukker saw both teams increase their scores, but Rajnigandha Achievers further widened the gap to 8-3. In the final chukker, while Thunderbolts managed to score twice, Rajnigandha added one more goal, sealing their victory at 9-5.

The team, consisting of Shamsheer Ali, Aryaman Singh, and Daniel Otamendi, played pivotal roles in their success.
