Rajesh Ramesh Shines in 400m Race

In a remarkable display of speed, Rajesh Ramesh from Tamil Nadu secured the gold medal in the men's 400m Race A at the Indian Open held on Saturday, clocking an impressive time of 45.26 seconds.


This performance surpassed his previous personal best of 45.54 seconds, achieved in 2024.


After facing injuries post the 2024 Paris Olympics, Ramesh made a strong return last year, recording a season-best time of 45.75 seconds.


Finishing in second place in Race A was Manu TS from NCOE, Trivandrum, who completed the race in 45.96 seconds. Meanwhile, Delhi's Amoj Jacob took the win in Race C with a time of 45.99 seconds, securing the overall third position in the men's category.


The men's final was organized into three groups: A, B, and C, while the women's final was split into two categories: A and B.


In the women's 400m Race A, Vithya Ramraj from Tamil Nadu emerged victorious with a time of 53.31 seconds, followed closely by Rashdeep Kaur from JSW, who finished in 53.62 seconds.


Vijay Kumari GK from Karnataka clinched the win in Race B, stopping the clock at 53.55 seconds, earning her the overall third position in the women's 400m event.
