Rajasthan Royals to Wear All-Pink Jersey for Pink Promise Day Against Mumbai Indians

The Rajasthan Royals are set to wear an all-pink jersey for their upcoming match against the Mumbai Indians on May 1, celebrating their annual Pink Promise Day. This initiative aims to support women-led projects in Rajasthan, with proceeds from ticket sales and jersey sales going to the Royal Rajasthan Foundation. This marks the second year the Royals are participating in this meaningful event, following a successful campaign last year.

Rajasthan Royals' Special All-Pink Jersey for Upcoming Match

In an exciting twist, the Rajasthan Royals (RR) will sport an all-pink jersey during their pivotal match against the Mumbai Indians (MI) on Thursday, May 1, at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. This new jersey design deviates from their usual pink and blue attire, marking the celebration of their annual 'Pink Promise' day.

Purpose Behind the All-Pink Jersey

A statement from the Rajasthan Royals' official website highlighted:

"The clash between Rajasthan Royals and Mumbai Indians is not just another match; it is the eagerly awaited Pink Promise match in IPL 2025. The Royals’ Pink Promise aims to foster women-led initiatives in Rajasthan. Last year, the 'Pink Promise' campaign, supported by partners like Luminous, positively impacted thousands by providing light to over 250 homes."

The 'Pink Promise' initiative by the Rajasthan Royals aims to fund projects that empower women in rural areas of Rajasthan. To contribute to this cause, the team will donate ₹100 from every ticket sold for the match. Additionally, all proceeds from the sale of the special pink jerseys will go to the Royal Rajasthan Foundation (RRF), which is dedicated to supporting such social initiatives.

Moreover, for each six scored during the match, the Rajasthan Royals and the Royal Rajasthan Foundation (RRF) will help provide solar energy to illuminate six homes in the Sambhar region.

This marks the second consecutive year that the Royals are celebrating Pink Promise Day by donning the all-pink kit, having done so last year against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), a match they won thanks to a century from Jos Buttler.

The Rajasthan Royals come into this match on the heels of a significant win against the Gujarat Titans (GT), where they successfully chased down a target of 210 runs with 25 balls to spare. The match also featured 14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who made headlines by scoring the second-fastest century in league history.
