IPL 2026: Royals' Initial Matches

The schedule for the opening phase of IPL 2026 has been released, revealing that the Rajasthan Royals, led by Riyan Parag, will kick off their campaign against the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in Guwahati on March 30. Following this, they will face the Gujarat Titans, captained by Shubman Gill, on April 4 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Their third match is set against the Mumbai Indians on April 7, and they will compete against the defending champions, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, on April 10.


Significant Trade: Samson Moves to CSK, Jadeja Returns to RR

In a major trade ahead of the 2026 season, the Rajasthan Royals were involved in one of the most significant player exchanges in IPL history. Wicketkeeper-batter Sanju Samson, who has been a key figure for the Royals for over a decade, has been traded to the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and will now wear their yellow jersey in IPL 2026. In exchange, the Royals acquired England all-rounder Sam Curran and veteran Ravindra Jadeja from CSK.
