Railway Sports Promotion Board Triumphs in National Championship

The 6th Hockey India Senior Men Inter-Department National Championship 2026 concluded in Hyderabad, with the Railway Sports Promotion Board emerging victorious after a decisive 4-1 victory against the All India Police Sports Control Board in the final match. The Petroleum Sports Promotion Board secured third place in the tournament, as reported by Hockey India.


In the championship final, the Railway Sports Promotion Board showcased exceptional skill, with Amandeep Lakra scoring two goals (41', 42'). Deep Atul (20') and Rohit (36') also contributed to the scoreline, ensuring a comfortable win. The All India Police Sports Control Board managed to score once, thanks to Shubham (36'), but ultimately had to settle for the second position.


Earlier in the day, the Petroleum Sports Promotion Board narrowly defeated the Comptroller & Auditor General of India 1-0, with Affan Yousuf's goal (53') being the decisive factor in securing third place.
