Puneeth M Excels at ITF Asia Championships

Athlete Puneeth M from Roundglass Tennis Academy has concluded an impressive run at the ITF Asia 14 & Under Development Championships Finals held in Colombo, Sri Lanka. As per an official announcement, the young talent demonstrated his prowess on the continental stage by winning the singles title in the first week and securing the runner-up position in doubles during the second week on Monday.


Qualification for Wimbledon and ITF Touring Team

Following his outstanding performances against top regional competitors, Puneeth has successfully qualified for the prestigious 14 & Under Wimbledon tournament. Additionally, he has earned a coveted place on the ITF Asian 14 & Under Touring Team, which is set to compete in Europe later this year.


Singles Championship and National Recognition

In the singles final of the first week, Puneeth, seeded second, showcased a dominant display by defeating Him Wong from Hong Kong. This victory not only secured him the title but also contributed to India finishing at the top of the overall country standings. Currently, he holds the All-India No. 1 position in the AITA Boys Under-14 rankings.

The Roundglass Tennis Academy in Chandigarh is rapidly becoming a leading center for both elite and emerging tennis talent in India. Alongside Puneeth, the academy is home to recent Junior Davis Cup team member Ribhav Saroha, as well as current singles No. 1 Sumit Nagal and doubles No. 1 Yuki Bhambri.
