Exciting Return of Pro Panja League
Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], April 9: The much-awaited second season of the Pro Panja League is gearing up for an exhilarating comeback on August 5 this year.
Following the success of its inaugural season, fans can once again tune in to the Sony Sports Network to witness top-tier arm wrestlers from across India compete in this thrilling event.
The tournament adopts an IPL-style format, featuring franchises battling it out for the prestigious title over a span of 17 days. The first season concluded with Kochi KD's triumph in a closely fought final.
This new season will kick off right after the conclusion of India's Test series against England, which wraps up on August 4.
According to data from the Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC), the Pro Panja League attracted an impressive 32 million unique viewers during its first season, outperforming many other newly launched leagues in India. The league is poised for even greater popularity with its return.
Parvinn Dabass, co-founder of the Pro Panja League, expressed his excitement in a press release, stating, “The response to our first season was overwhelming, and we are thrilled to bring the league back for our dedicated fans. Since the Pro Panja League began, the sport of arm wrestling has seen remarkable growth.”
He added, “I anticipate that our following will expand even more with this second season. The athletes have improved significantly since last season, promising more entertainment and fierce competition ahead. Our recent Pro Panja Mizoram Mega Matches attracted between 15,000 to 20,000 attendees, showcasing the growing interest.”
“This time, the competition will be on a much grander scale. Arm wrestling is evolving from a casual game into a professional sport, and with the league's rapid expansion, it is set to become a household name,” he concluded.
