Prithvi Shaw Joins Maharashtra Cricket Team to Revitalize Career
Prithvi Shaw's New Chapter with Maharashtra
Prithvi Shaw is taking a bold step to rejuvenate his cricketing journey. The former captain of the India U19 team has officially parted ways with the Mumbai squad and has signed with Maharashtra for the upcoming domestic season. He has received a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Mumbai Cricket Association, confirming this transition.
The 26-year-old batsman has faced significant challenges in recent years. Once seen as a promising talent in Indian cricket, Shaw's struggles with form and discipline have pushed him into the shadows. His non-compliance with fitness and conduct regulations led to a suspension from the Mumbai team. During the IPL 2025 auction, he went unsold despite a low base price, highlighting his current struggles.
With this fresh start, Shaw is hopeful that representing Maharashtra will help him regain his confidence and performance.
Shaw expressed:
"At this stage of my career, I believe joining the Maharashtra team will help me grow further as a cricketer."

The team also boasts experienced players like Rahul Tripathi, Ankit Bawne, Rajneesh Gurbani, and Mukesh Choudhary.
Shaw expressed his excitement about playing alongside these talented individuals and looks forward to the upcoming season.
He remarked:
