Pranavi Urs Leads Indian Charge

Indian golfer Pranavi Urs made an impressive start at the Joburg Ladies Open, achieving a bogey-free score of 3-under 70 in her opening round on the Ladies European Tour. Among the five Indian participants this week, she stood out as the top performer, currently positioned Tied-22nd, although the first round was still ongoing at the Par-73 Randpark Golf Club.


Mixed Fortunes for Other Indian Golfers

Tvesa Malik and Diksha Dagar concluded their first rounds with scores of 1-under 72, placing them Tied-52nd. In contrast, Avani Prashanth faced difficulties, finishing at 2-over 75, while Hitaashee Bakshi had a tough day with a score of 4-over 77. Both Avani and Hitaashee will need to deliver exceptional rounds to qualify for the next stage.


At one point, Tvesa was 4-under through the front nine but slipped to 1-under 72 after incurring a double bogey and a bogey on the 15th and 16th holes, respectively.


Diksha's round included five birdies, three bogeys, and a double bogey, resulting in her score of 72.


French Trio and American Share Early Lead

The clubhouse lead is currently held by Agathe Laisne from France, Brianna Navarossa from the US, and Ariane Klotz from France, each recording a remarkable score of 7-under 66. Following closely are Laura Beveridge from Scotland and Justice Bosio from Australia, both tied for fourth place with scores of 6-under 67.
