Praful Hinge's Remarkable IPL Debut
In the IPL 2026, Praful Hinge made his debut for Sunrisers Hyderabad last night, showcasing an outstanding performance by taking 4 wickets in just 4 overs. He made a significant impact right from his first over against Rajasthan Royals, demonstrating his potential and skill.
Father's Pride and Support
Following his son's remarkable debut, Praful Hinge's father has spoken out, revealing the individual who played a crucial role in his son's journey to success in the IPL. He shared that there was a time when Praful's cricket career seemed to be at an end, and he was on the verge of quitting the sport.
About two and a half years ago, Praful suffered a stress fracture in his back, putting his career in jeopardy. During this challenging period, former Indian fast bowler and current bowling coach of Sunrisers Hyderabad, Varun Aaron, stepped in to support him. Praful's father, Prakash Hinge, expressed, “When we thought his career was over, Varun Aaron came like an angel and helped Praful through this tough time.”
Overcoming Adversity
After recovering from his injury, Praful was invited to Australia by Glenn McGrath, who was impressed by his line and length. He underwent three weeks of training at the National Centre of Cricket Australia in Brisbane, with all expenses covered by the MRF Pace Foundation.
Praful's coach, Ranjit Paradkar, noted, “Praful Hinge always had the talent; he just needed the right guidance. After his injury, his bowling technique improved, making him even more dangerous.”
Coming from a humble family in Nagpur, Praful's father shared, “My son has been passionate about cricket since childhood. He played street cricket all day, and then we enrolled him in an academy where he made the field his home. His determination and hard work are what are making him a star in the IPL.”
