Exciting Opportunities in the PPA Tour Asia
The PPA Tour Asia has officially launched registrations for two significant events: the Macau Open and the Sansan Tokyo Open, which are part of its 2026 season. Entries for the Macau Open commenced on April 7, while the Sansan Tokyo Open opened on April 8, marking a pivotal moment for the tour as it gains traction following recent competitions.
Scheduled to take place from May 28 to 31, 2026, at The Venetian Macao, the Macau Open boasts a total prize pool of USD 70,000 and offers 500 ranking points. Participants in singles will compete for a prize of USD 2,000, while doubles champions will receive USD 5,500, with ranking points awarded through to the Round of 16. The deadline for professional registration for the Macau Open is April 30, 2026, while amateur entries will be accepted until May 8.
On the other hand, the Sansan Tokyo Open is set for July 1-4, 2026, at Arena Tachikawa Tachihi. This event is supported by local broadcaster TBS, title sponsor Sansan, and development partner Mitsui Fudosan, featuring a prize pool of USD 50,000 and 500 ranking points. Singles champions in Tokyo will earn USD 2,000, while doubles winners will take home USD 4,500. Registration for this event will close on June 1, 2026.
This announcement follows the recent conclusion of the MB Hanoi Cup, with the tour now preparing for the upcoming Panas Kuala Lumpur Open in Malaysia, scheduled for May 13-17. As the PPA Tour Asia continues to broaden its competitive landscape, players are presented with numerous chances to earn both ranking points and prize money throughout the region.
