Vaibhav Suryavanshi's Stellar IPL Performance
Suryavanshi, who played for the Rajasthan Royals this season, has emerged as one of the standout players. In just seven matches, he scored 252 runs, highlighted by a stunning century against the Gujarat Titans in Jaipur.
His explosive innings of 101 runs off just 38 balls made him the youngest centurion in men's T20 cricket history. This remarkable feat also marked the second-fastest century in IPL history, achieved by a player at the tender age of 14.
The records he set during this match include:
- Seventh-fastest century in T20 cricket history, with the record held by Sahil Chauhan of Estonia at 27 balls.
- Fastest fifty in IPL history for a player aged 14, reached in just 17 balls.
- 94 runs scored through boundaries, with a boundary percentage of 93%, the highest for any century in IPL.
- Tied with Murali Vijay for the most sixes by an Indian in an IPL innings, hitting 11 sixes.
- Set a record for the highest partnership for any wicket for Rajasthan Royals with Yashasvi Jaiswal, totaling 166 runs.
- Achieved his first IPL century in just three innings, surpassing the previous record held by Priyansh Arya and Paul Valthaty.
This meeting with the Prime Minister marks another significant milestone in Suryavanshi's rapid ascent in Indian cricket.
