Phil Salt's Return for IPL Final

After much anticipation, it has been confirmed that Phil Salt will participate in the IPL 2025 final against Punjab Kings. The match is scheduled to take place at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Tuesday, June 3.

Salt had recently returned to the UK for the birth of his child, leading to doubts about his timely return. His absence from the last practice session added to the speculation. However, he arrived back in Ahmedabad around 3 a.m. today, and RCB has announced his inclusion in the playing XI.

This news is a significant boost for RCB, as Salt has been a standout player this season. The English opener has scored 387 runs with an impressive strike rate of 175.9. His partnership with Virat Kohli has been particularly fruitful, with the duo amassing 664 runs together at an average of 47.42, providing RCB with strong starts in numerous matches.

Unfortunately for RCB, Tim David will be absent once again due to a hamstring injury sustained while fielding against Sunrisers Hyderabad. He also missed the previous playoff match against Punjab.

This marks RCB's fourth appearance in an IPL final. Despite reaching this stage before, they have yet to secure the championship trophy. With Salt back in form, fans are hopeful that this could finally be the year RCB clinches the title.
