Pat Cummins Achieves Historic Five-Wicket Haul in WTC Final 2025

Cummins Makes History at Lord's
In a remarkable performance, Australian captain Pat Cummins secured a five-wicket haul during the first innings of the WTC Final 2025 against South Africa at Lord's. He concluded his spell by dismissing David Bedingham, achieving his five-wicket milestone, and then went on to take the wicket of Kagiso Rabada, finishing with impressive figures of 6/28.
This achievement places him among an elite group of fast bowlers, as he becomes the sixth to take five wickets in an ICC event final. The other notable bowlers include Gary Gilmour, Joel Garner, Jacques Kallis, Kyle Jamieson, and Kagiso Rabada. Furthermore, Cummins stands out as the only captain to have accomplished this feat in ICC Finals.
