Pakistan Triumphs Over UAE in T20I Tri-Series with Strong Batting Performance
Pakistan Secures Victory Against UAE
In a thrilling encounter at Sharjah Cricket Stadium, Pakistan showcased their dominance with a 31-run win over the UAE, maintaining their impressive form in the ongoing T20I Tri-Series 2025. The match highlighted the explosive performances of Saim Ayub and Hasan Nawaz, who played pivotal roles in the victory.
Choosing to bat first after winning the toss, Pakistan aimed to replicate their successful strategy from the previous match against Afghanistan, where they won by 39 runs. This victory serves as a significant morale booster just ten days ahead of the Asia Cup.
Saim Ayub, returning from injury, delivered a stellar performance, scoring 69 runs off 38 balls, while Hasan Nawaz contributed a quick 56 runs off just 26 deliveries. Ayub's innings included two massive sixes and a four during a powerful third over against Junaid Siddique.
Pakistan's Batting Dominance
After the powerplay, Ayub continued his assault, hitting left-arm pacer Muhammad Jawadullah for a six and a boundary. He reached his fifty in just 25 balls, finishing with an impressive 69 runs, complemented by seven fours and four sixes. Contributions from Mohammad Nawaz, who scored 25 runs off 15 balls, and Faheem Ashraf, who added 16 runs off 10 balls, helped Pakistan set a formidable target of 207 runs.
In response, the UAE relied heavily on their captain Muhammad Waseem, who started aggressively, scoring 33 runs off 18 balls. Unfortunately, his innings was cut short due to a mix-up during the powerplay.
Asif Khan's Resilient Effort
Despite a collapse in the middle order, Asif Khan fought valiantly for the UAE, launching a fierce counterattack against Pakistan's bowlers. He scored a remarkable 77 runs off 35 balls, taking advantage of the bowling attack. However, his efforts were not enough to secure a win, as he was dismissed by Hasan Ali, leading to the UAE's defeat by 31 runs.
