The Odisha State Senior Boys Roll Ball Team has set off for Shillong to compete in the National East Zone Roll Ball Championship on April 24-25, 2026. With a mix of experienced and emerging players, the team is determined to represent their state with pride. A send-off ceremony was held to encourage the players, who are led by captain Pritish Aryan Jena and vice-captain Kaustuv Pattnaik. Odisha Roll Ball Team Heads to Shillong


Bhubaneswar: The Odisha State Senior Boys Roll Ball Team has embarked on their journey to Shillong, Meghalaya, for the upcoming National East Zone Roll Ball Championship set for April 24–25, 2026. The players are filled with optimism and a strong desire to excel, aiming to represent their state with honor during this zonal competition.


Before their departure, a formal send-off ceremony was held, attended by Director of Sports Dr. Yeddula Vijay, IAS, and Administrator-cum-Additional Secretary Shri Bijay Kumar Swain, OAS. The founder of the Odisha Roll Ball Association, Shri Partha Sarathi Jena, was also present to motivate the athletes and extend his best wishes for their success in the tournament.


The team, under the leadership of captain Pritish Aryan Jena and vice-captain Kaustuv Pattnaik, features a well-rounded roster of both seasoned and up-and-coming players. Key members include goalkeepers Swastik Praharaj and Kamal Kumar Das, alongside Ansuman Patra, Sai Sriyanshu Rout, Ankit Nayak, Rajeev Sahoo, Pratik Arnav Jena, Ayush Jena, and Arman Subudhi. With a robust lineup and committed leadership, the Odisha team is poised to make a significant impact at the East Zone championship in Shillong.
