Odisha Unveils U-19 Squad for Vinoo Mankad Trophy: Who's Leading the Charge?

The Odisha Cricket Association has announced its 16-member U-19 squad for the Vinoo Mankad Trophy as part of the BCCI Domestic Season 2026-27. Led by captain Panakala Mokshit, the team features a mix of promising young talents, including both pace and spin bowlers. Odisha will kick off their campaign against Punjab on October 8 in Pondicherry, followed by matches against other states. This tournament offers a significant opportunity for the young players to demonstrate their skills on a national stage.

Odisha's U-19 Team Set for Vinoo Mankad Trophy


Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Cricket Association has officially revealed a 16-member squad for the upcoming Vinoo Mankad Trophy, which is part of the BCCI Domestic Season for 2026-27.


The announcement was made during a press conference featuring Sourajit Mohapatra, chairperson of the Odisha Junior Men’s Selection Committee, alongside assistant coach Rakesh Mohanty.


Leading the team is Panakala Mokshit, who will also serve as the wicketkeeper, with Vedant V Devade as the second wicketkeeper.


The batting lineup features right-handed openers Subham Pallai and Mayank Pattnayak, complemented by left-handed opener Prayan Prantik Samal and left-handed batter Subhasis Mallick.


Aditya Anand joins as a specialist batter, while all-rounders Jogeswar Bag and Rudra Prasad Mallick have also been included.


The pace bowling unit consists of Kamalesh Patra, Seikh Hayat, Abhineet Pattnaik, Tirthankar Sahoo, and Sairaj Sahoo.


For spin options, Raaz Yadav and SK Naqib Sarber will represent the left-arm spinners.


Odisha is placed in Elite-B for the Vinoo Mankad Trophy and will kick off their campaign against Punjab on October 8 in Pondicherry.


Following that, they will compete against Uttar Pradesh on October 10, Haryana on October 12, Bihar on October 14, and Chhattisgarh on October 16.


All five league matches are set to take place in Pondicherry, providing Odisha's young talents a platform to showcase their skills against national teams.
