Odisha Triumphs at the National East Zone Roll Ball Championship


Bhubaneswar: The city of Bhubaneswar witnessed a remarkable event as Odisha hosted the 4th National East Zone Roll Ball Championship at the BDA Buddha Jayanti Park from March 21 to 22. The state showcased its prowess by emerging as the overall champions of the East Zone.


The championship featured intense competition among six formidable states, including Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, and West Bengal.


In a spectacular final, the Odisha girls' team showcased their skills by defeating Jharkhand with a commanding score of 8–3, securing the gold medal.


Meanwhile, the Odisha boys' team demonstrated remarkable determination, earning the silver medal after a challenging match against Jharkhand.


Soudamini Patra, Secretary of the Odisha Roll Ball Association (ORBA), commended the athletes for their outstanding performances throughout the tournament, expressing pride in their achievements on the national stage.
