Raj Athwal Resigns as CEO of Odisha FC

New Delhi - Odisha FC announced on Tuesday that Raj Athwal, the Chief Executive Officer, has decided to leave the club, a decision that has been accepted by the management, as stated in an official announcement.

In their statement, Odisha FC expressed appreciation for Athwal's leadership and professionalism, highlighting his significant role during his time with the club. Under his guidance, Odisha FC experienced one of its most successful periods, clinching its first-ever trophy with the Super Cup victory. This success was not limited to the men's team; the club also triumphed in the Indian Women’s League (IWL) 2023-24 and secured spots in the knockout stages of the AFC competition for both teams.

Rohan Sharma, the club owner, recognized Athwal's contributions and extended his best wishes for his future endeavors.

“It’s disheartening to see Raj leave after five years of collaboration. He will always be a supporter of the club, and we welcome him back anytime. I wish him and his family all the best,” Sharma stated in the official release.

As Odisha FC prepares for the future and seeks clarity regarding the league, they have appointed General Manager Ravi Khedar as the main Point of Contact (POC) for all club-related communications during this transition.
