Bhubaneswar (Odisha) [India], May 14: Odisha FC (OFC) has officially announced the departure of Brazilian striker Diego Mauricio, who has been a pivotal player for the team over two separate tenures spanning four seasons. His time at the club has been marked by dedication and remarkable performances, as highlighted on the Indian Super League (ISL) official website.
During his tenure, Mauricio participated in 86 matches within the ISL, netting 44 goals and providing 13 assists. In total, he scored over 50 goals while donning the Odisha FC jersey across all competitions.
Initially joining the Kalinga Warriors in the 2020-21 season, he made an impressive debut by scoring 12 goals and assisting twice in his first season in Indian football.
After returning for a second stint in 2022, Mauricio elevated his performance, again scoring 12 goals in the league and contributing four assists. His outstanding efforts earned him the Golden Boot and played a crucial role in Odisha FC's historic qualification for the ISL playoffs for the first time.
The season became even more memorable as Mauricio led the team to victory in the Kalinga Super Cup, marking the club's first major trophy. He scored five goals and assisted two more during this successful campaign.

He continued to be a consistent scoring threat, netting ten goals in the 2023-24 ISL season and adding another nine in the recently concluded 2024-25 campaign.
