Bhubaneswar: In a tightly contested match during Gameweek 2 of the Indian Super League (ISL) 2025-26, Odisha FC faced off against Inter Kashi FC at Kalinga Stadium, resulting in a 0-0 draw on Tuesday. This match marked Odisha FC's season opener, while Inter Kashi FC aimed to build on their promising debut in the league.
Both teams had opportunities to score, but the match concluded without any goals, marking the first draw of the season. Odisha attempted nine shots, while Inter Kashi had eight, yet both teams managed only two shots on target. Rahul KP from Odisha was awarded the Player of the Match for his performance.
Inter Kashi started the match with energy, as midfielder Tomba Singh forced a low save from distance within the first minute.
Odisha responded around the 15-minute mark when Rahul KP shot over from long range after a swift play initiated by Lalthathanga Khawlhring. Shortly after, Suhair VP missed a close-range header following a set-piece from Isak Vanlalruatfela.
Midway through the first half, Thoiba Singh earned a free-kick for Odisha on the right, but his header from Khawlhring’s delivery went narrowly wide. Suhair again failed to convert from another set-piece. At the other end, Planas had a close-range shot blocked by the defense. Just before halftime, Vanlalruatfela tested Inter Kashi's goalkeeper Lluis Tarrés with a low shot from distance, which was comfortably saved as the teams headed into the break.
In the second half, Inter Kashi's Rohit Danu had a header blocked inside the box early on. After the hour mark, Vanlalruatfela came close for Odisha, but his left-footed shot from a tight angle was thwarted by defender David Humanes.
In the 73rd minute, Danu shot wide from the left after receiving a pass from Prasanth Mohan. Deep into stoppage time, he attempted another long-range shot that went just over the crossbar.
As the match neared its conclusion, both teams pushed for a goal, with Inter Kashi looking more threatening. However, neither side could find the back of the net, resulting in a goalless draw and both teams sharing the points.
