Netherlands Prepares for World Cup with Friendly Matches

Amsterdam [Netherlands], March 20: Ronald Koeman, the manager of the Netherlands national football team, has announced a 26-player roster for their upcoming friendly matches this month as they gear up for the FIFA World Cup scheduled for June.


The three-time World Cup runners-up will face Norway at the Johan Cruijff Arena in Amsterdam on March 27, followed by a match against Ecuador in Eindhoven on March 31. The World Cup will take place from June 11 to July 19 across the United States, Mexico, and Canada.


In the tournament, the Netherlands is placed in Group F alongside Japan, Tunisia, and a yet-to-be-determined qualifier, kicking off their campaign against Japan in Arlington on June 14.


Manager Koeman has included several Serie A players in the squad, showcasing talent from Italy's premier football league.


The squad features notable players such as Liverpool's Cody Gakpo and Virgil van Dijk, Manchester City's Tijjani Reijnders, and Inter Milan's Stefan de Vrij and Denzel Dumfries.
