Neeru Dhanda and Kynan Chenai Shine at Asian Games with Record-Breaking Gold

Historic Victory for India in Trap Mixed Team Event

Nagoya: In a stunning display of skill, the Indian duo of Neeru Dhanda and Kynan Chenai secured the gold medal in the trap mixed team event at the Asian Games on Wednesday, while also setting a new continental record.

The Indian team achieved a remarkable score of 34 in the finals after qualifying in fourth place. The silver medal was claimed by Qatar's Mohammed Al-Rumaihi and Ray Bassil, who finished with a score of 32.

Previously, the Asian record of 30 was held by Qatar, established just this January.

China's Qi Ying and Sun Yunong rounded out the podium with a bronze medal, scoring 23.

This victory caps off an impressive Asian Games for the 26-year-old Neeru, who made history by becoming the first Indian woman shooter to win an individual trap medal, achieving this milestone with her gold medal and record-setting performance on Tuesday.
