Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his admiration for Neeraj Chopra after the athlete successfully threw a javelin 90.23 meters, surpassing the 90-meter mark for the first time. Modi attributed this achievement to Chopra's relentless dedication, discipline, and passion.


In a post on 'X', Modi stated, "India is very happy and proud." Chopra accomplished this feat during the Doha leg of the Diamond League on Friday, securing the second position.


The top spot was claimed by Germany's Julian Weber, who threw the javelin 91.06 meters in his final attempt. With this throw, Chopra became the third Asian and the 25th athlete globally to exceed the 90-meter mark.
