Mumbai Indians Make a Key Signing

The Mumbai Indians (MI) have officially brought in Raghu Sharma to replace their injured spinner Vignesh Puthur. MI announced this decision ahead of their important IPL 2025 match against the Rajasthan Royals, confirming that Puthur will miss the rest of the season due to injury.

Vignesh Puthur made a significant impact in his debut match against the Chennai Super Kings this season, taking 3 wickets. He participated in 5 matches overall, claiming 5 wickets. His last appearance was against the Sunrisers Hyderabad, where he bowled just one over. Unfortunately, a bone stress reaction in both shins has sidelined him for the season. Despite this setback, he will remain with the MI squad to focus on his recovery with the help of the team's medical staff.
