Injury Updates Ahead of the IPL Match

As the Mumbai Indians (MI) prepare for their upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) match against the Gujarat Titans (GT), bowling coach Paras Mhambrey has confirmed that both star player Rohit Sharma and Mitchell Santner are fit to play.

The MI team is looking to revive their season, which has recently become a challenge. After a victory against the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in their first match, MI has faced four consecutive losses, revealing weaknesses in both their batting and bowling departments.

Rohit and Santner Ready to Play

The team's struggles intensified when Rohit sustained a hamstring injury during a match against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), causing him to miss the subsequent game against the Punjab Kings (PBKS). Captain Hardik Pandya had indicated that Rohit would need 'a couple of games more' to recover fully. Additionally, Santner was sidelined for the PBKS match due to illness.

During a pre-match press conference, Mhambrey provided an encouraging update, stating, 'Both are fit. If you walk by the nets, you can see Rohit's batting. He is working hard. Santner is also fit. Unfortunately, we missed him in the last game due to a bug, but both are ready to go now.'
