Acquired by LSG for INR 2.6 crore, Mukul's value skyrocketed from his initial base price of INR 30 lakh during the IPL 2026 mini-auction. His performance in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2025/26, where he scored 173 runs with two fifties at an average of 57.66, showcased his talent.

LSG head coach Justin Langer praised Mukul's athleticism and game awareness, emphasizing his elite running between the wickets and mature understanding of match situations.
